TGV Reseau Duplex
The TGV Reseau Duplex is a Reseau Locomotive and Duplex coaches forms of 8 coach long train and is capable of line speed of 300 Km/h running from the Gare du Lyon one of Paris many TGV train Stations in France.
The TGV Reseau Duplex is the opposite to the POS which are Duplex Locomotives with Reseau/Atlantique coaches which is identical to the PBKA Thalys and is also capable of 300 Km/h running from Gare de l'Est' one of Paris other major TGV Stations in France. This version came into existence when the carriages of nineteen TGV-Réseau sets were used to create the TGV POS sets. The Réseau powercars of these sets, with some aerodynamic adjustments, joined new Duplex sets. They were the first series of "inter-recoupled series" TGV to achieve a sustainable basis by SNCF.
Instead of ordering brand new POS sets, the railways modified a pre-existing order for 19 Duplex as follows:
